What is Trex Capsule?

Trex Capsule is the capsule version of the Trex range from Turkey. One box contains 30 capsules, enough for 30 days at one capsule a day. Many people choose it because it is quicker than preparing a drink: one capsule with a large glass of water, and you are done.

The formula is different from Trex Tea. It combines L-carnitine with warming culinary spices such as ginger, cardamom, galangal, cinnamon and clove, together with maca (lepidium), garcinia and alder buckthorn bark, a traditional herb known for its laxative effect.

Trex Capsule is a food supplement, not a medicine. Please read the section on alder buckthorn below before you start.

Ingredients and what they are

• L-carnitine – a compound the body also makes, involved in how cells use fatty acids for energy.
• Alder buckthorn bark (frangula, listed on some boxes as “gunpowder bark”) – a traditional herb used for its laxative effect.
• Garcinia – the fruit rind of a tropical tree, common in supplements.
• Lepidium (maca root) – a root vegetable from the Andes.
• Ginger and galangal – warming roots from the ginger family.
• Cardamom, cinnamon and clove – classic culinary spices.
• Fennel and dill seed – traditional after-meal herbs.

Important: Trex Capsule contains a laxative herb

Alder buckthorn bark contains natural compounds that stimulate the bowel. This is why some people notice looser stools or more frequent bowel movements. In European herbal practice, herbs of this type are recommended only for short-term use. Please keep the following in mind:

• Take no more than one capsule a day.
• Stop using it if you get cramps, diarrhoea or feel dizzy, and drink plenty of water.
• Do not use it continuously for months. After a box, take a break.
• Laxative herbs can reduce how well some medicines are absorbed. If you take any medication, including the contraceptive pill, ask your doctor or pharmacist first.
• Do not use it if you have a bowel condition, such as inflammatory bowel disease, or unexplained abdominal pain.

How to use Trex Capsule

• Take one capsule a day, about 1 hour before or 1 hour after breakfast.
• Swallow it with a large glass of water.
• Drink enough water through the day, around 2 litres for most adults.

What to expect

Trex Capsule is a simple routine product for people who prefer a capsule to a drink. Experiences differ from person to person. Any change in weight depends on your overall diet, activity and sleep, not on a capsule alone. Because of the laxative herb, the capsule is not a permanent daily product.

Trex Capsule or Trex Tea?

Trex Tea is a stevia-sweetened instant tea with green tea, L-carnitine, chitosan and plant extracts, used twice a day; it does not contain laxative herbs. Trex Capsule is taken once a day and contains alder buckthorn bark and garcinia. If you want a gentle daily routine, Trex Tea is usually the better choice.

• Pregnant or breastfeeding women
• Children and people under 18
• People taking antidepressants or other regular medication
• People with liver or kidney disease, heart failure or high blood pressure
• People with gastritis, stomach ulcers or bowel conditions
